Getting started

How to reach us

Tell us what the door is doing and roughly where you are - that is enough to know whether it is a same-visit fix or something that needs a part ordered first.

  1. Call and tell us what it’s doing

    (321) 534-7032 - describe the symptom and roughly where you are.

  2. Or send it in writing

Use the request form if it’s easier than talking.

  3. We diagnose on site

A technician tests the door under power and by hand before anything is quoted or replaced.

  4. You approve the plan

You hear what failed and what it takes to fix it - the work starts only after that.

Contacting Us

Call (321) 534-7032 and tell us what the door is doing - won't open, spring snapped, opener grinding, whatever it is. We'll ask a few questions about the door itself (size, age if you know it, torsion or extension spring setup) so whoever comes out isn't guessing before they even get in the truck.

Our address is 2600 Aurora Rd, Melbourne, FL 32935. That's where the business runs from; it's not a walk-in showroom with doors on display, so if you want to see panel samples or color options, ask on the phone first and we'll tell you what we can bring or where to look.

After the call, we'll give you a window for the visit, not an exact minute - garage door jobs run long when a spring job turns into a track replacement once the door's open. If you need to reschedule, call the same number. We don't use a separate dispatch line or a booking app, so one call covers it.

Who You Are Dealing With

  1. We work on garage doors in Melbourne and the surrounding towns

June Park, West Melbourne, Indian Harbour Beach, Indialantic, Satellite Beach, Melbourne Beach, South Patrick Shores, and out as far as Malabar, Grant-Valkaria, Merritt Island, Rockledge, Cocoa Beach, Cocoa West, Cocoa, Micco, and Cape Canaveral.

  2. A lot of the housing stock in this part of the county went up between 1966 and 2003

With 1977 sitting close to the middle of that range. That means we see a wide mix on service calls: older torsion setups that have outlived their original springs several times over, and newer doors with opener models that are still under factory parts coverage.

  3. The area's mild, temperate climate doesn't put doors through hard freeze-thaw cycling

But humidity and salt air near the coast still eat at hardware and fasteners faster than inland installs. We don't run a storefront crew of sales reps - whoever answers the phone is involved in getting the job scheduled and the right parts pulled before the truck leaves. We're not a franchise call center routing you to a subcontractor three counties over.

What We Do Not Take On

We work on residential garage doors, openers, springs, tracks, cables, and panels. We don't install or service gate operators, commercial rolling steel doors, or dock levelers - if that's what you need, we'll tell you so on the phone instead of sending a truck out for a job we can't finish.

If a door is old enough that the manufacturer no longer makes parts for the specific track profile or opener model, we'll say that up front rather than quote a repair that won't hold. Sometimes the honest answer on a door from the earlier end of that 1966-to-2003 build range is that replacement costs less over time than chasing discontinued parts.

We also don't carry every opener brand's proprietary circuit board on the truck. Specialty parts sometimes mean a second visit once the part's in hand, and we'll tell you that at the time of the first call, not after we've already shown up.

Door stuck open or won’t close?

A garage door that won’t close leaves your home open. Tell us what’s happening and we’ll help you figure out the fastest way to get it secured.

Questions

Frequently asked

Straight answers about garage door repair in Melbourne. Still unsure? Ask us directly.

Why do so many Melbourne garage doors still have the original springs?

A lot of the local housing was built between 1966 and 2003, with much of it from the 1960s and 70s, and plenty of those original torsion or extension springs are still in service. Springs don't last forever - they're rated in cycles - so a 40 to 50 year old spring that hasn't been replaced is usually near or past its working life.

Does Melbourne's climate affect garage door hardware?

The area sits in a mild temperate band, so we don't see the freeze-thaw damage that cracks panels in colder regions. That said, coastal humidity still corrodes rollers, cables, and unprotected hardware over the years, especially on doors that have never had a lubrication or hardware check.

Can you match parts on an older door?

Sometimes. Houses built earlier in the 1966-2003 range can have spring sizes or track hardware that isn't a common stock item anymore. We bring likely sizes based on the build era, but on some older doors we may need a substitution, which we'll explain before doing the work.

Is it better to repair or replace an old door?

It depends on the door and what's failing. If the track, hardware, and panels are sound and it's just a spring or opener, repair makes sense. If panels are failing on a door old enough that matching parts aren't made anymore, replacement is usually the more honest long-term answer.
